Please submit your ads by March 28, 2008 5:00 p.m. to Glenn Scales.

The ads must be submitted per Glenn’s instructions below. If you have any questions, please contact Glenn directly.

Please let ALL YOUR CLUBS know about this opportunity!

Glenn’s instructions:
The newsletter is normally printed only in black and white, but in most cases color ads reproduce well when printed in greyscale. The newsletter is printed in a “portrait” orientation and because of the layout and the margins, the widest ad I can accommodate is 7.5 inches.

My preferred format for an ad is JPEG, TIFF or Photoshop PSD. I strongly suggest an image resolution of 300 dpi – any resolution less than that will produce an unacceptable image.

I use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Pagemaker 7.0 to produce the newsletter and Pagemaker will import most MS Word text documents, but the results are uncertain when graphics are included. A JPEG, TIFF or PSD graphic file (single layer) will always work well. If you use fonts that I do not have, the end result will be uncertain unless the fonts are embedded in the graphic – flatten all layers before saving.

Printed “camera ready” copy can be scanned for insertion in the newsletter, but better results are obtained by working from the graphic file. If you have to send “camera ready” copies by mail, please send two copies in a rigid mailing envelope to minimize physical damage.

Once you have sent me an ad I will save it for future use till you specify otherwise. E-mail me at glennscales@mindspring.com if you have any other questions.
